I was just looking for some information on IE7 so I googled "ie7" and I noticed the page never finished loading. It appeared that the browser was trying to prefetch http://dean.edwards.name/IE7/ although I assume that most people would be looking for one of the results further down the page.

Sure enough; the http://dean.edwards.name/IE7/ site is very slow and taking a very long time to respond.

So could Google and prefetch take down a site?
