So I want to open a Open Office doc that was sent to me by my mom in Gmail. Gmail has no option to read it because it's not expanded like that yet. I can't upload the file to Google Docs because the limit is 500kb and the file is 1.06mb.... I can't download Open Office because I'm in France on exchange and I leave in 10 days so it's not even worth it.

Is there a way to view the file without Word (unless there is an extension) or downloading Open Office??

Thanks

How about Gmail?
Just copy, paste the wording, and send it through Gmail.
(I'm not sure about pictures, but if it's words only, Gmail will be a great solution).

If it contains pictures,
she can print screen the document, upload it to Picasaweb or Imageshack or whatever, Gmail you the picture, and you're done :)

Try Zoho Writer. There's no limits. Google should take a few hints from them.
