When you search Google for [site:g] you get this strange result:

(Google seems to interpret both "" and "&" charafters in URLs as end-of-domain indicators or something? Try site:www, site:a etc.)

Yeah, this leads to odd results too:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3A%26&btnG=Search

Looks like they're escaping the ampersand some of the time? The first result URL has an ampersand, but google shows the link as containing &
