New AdSense Type, Other Changes

The new Google Ad links.
There are some changes to
Google AdSense, the Google advertising program for web publishers:
- There’s a new ad unit available: Ad links. They are available in various formats, from 4-5 links, ranging from 120x90 pixels to 200x90 pixels. As opposed to displaying an ad itself, the Ad links will act more like “Related links” leading you to the ads. As usual, the link selection will be themed to the page they’re on.
- There are three new forms of payment for your AdSense revenues
including local currency checks for 43 countries (cheaper to deposit and easier to clear), Secured Express Delivery, and Electronic Funds Transfer (which, according to Google, is in Beta).
- There’s a new “My account” tab when you login.
- Changes have been made to the AdSense terms sections 1-7, 9, 15-17. (If you know what they are, please tell us.)
Update: Adam Lasnik in the forum points to WebmasterWorld (registration required), which details the changes to the AdSense terms. Some changes are due to the new Ad links. Also, Piotr Zgodzinski says “you can now disclose your AdSense revenues – tell others the exact numbers you earn.”
To quote the terms:
“You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google’s prior written consent (...) [including] click-through rates or other statistics relating to Site performance in the Program (...) However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Googles gross payments to You pursuant to the Program.”
