Searching for Google

This is kind of strange: when I search Google for “google”, the first result is “https://desktop.google.com"*. Only the second result is “www.google.com”. However, “https://desktop.google.com” redirects to Google.com, and the Google Cache also shows the Google homepage. You need to enter “http” instead of “https” to get to the Google Desktop homepage. Are we seeing the permanent redirect hijacking trick?

*Note Google results aren’t the same from everywhere, so you may get different results.
