Here are some helpful browsing shortcuts for the Windows/ Internet Explorer combination:
One of the fastest way to access Google (or any other *.com) domain is to type the name, then press Ctrl+Return. This will put “http://www. - - - .com” around anything, e.g. http://www.google.com.
To open a new window for a given page, you can hold down the Shift key while clicking on the link. To close the window, you can press Alt+F4. To quickly switch to the old one, press Alt+Tab. You can then also Tab your way through the link list on the Google result page.
If you prefer a previous search result, hit Alt+Left. And Alt+Right to go one step forward.
Also, you can bookmark Google. But instead of naming the bookmark “Google”, name it “G”. You can now simply enter g in the Internet Explorer address bar and hit Return to be taken to Google.
