MetaFilter Tags Continue Trend

Waxy reports MetaFilter added tags. They display them in what has become a quick (and meaningful) fashion – items are linked and printed out without much grouping or lists, but more popular words grow in size. I’ve used this in FutureFeature, and I was inspired by 43Things. Since then, Technorati added the same style to their service.

There’s three things I ponder: who started this style, what will become of it, and most importantly, what will we name it? Having a name, naturally, makes it much easier to talk about it, as it prevents us from having to explain it over and over. My suggestion (tagmap may be too specific): let’s call them blowlinks.
