Ask Jeeves to Buy Bloglines?

There’s a rumor search engine Ask Jeeves buys blog aggregator Bloglines. Mary Hodder at her blog Napsterizations says it’s going to be officially announced on Tuesday. While I don’t know if there’s any truth to this, it is interesting to note the new Ask Jeeves blog has a lot of highly visible Bloglines links in the main navigation.

Queries to Trigger Images in Google

Aaron Swartz publishes a list of search queries which are supposed to trigger images in Google’s web search. The list includes pipes, limes, lemons, caterpillars, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, olive, anchovy, bicycle, mountains, sunsets, ostrich, sparrow, and poodle. I can’t see any of this at Google.com from Germany, but maybe you can.

Update: As Zmarties notes in the forum, you can see the US results from anywhere using a US-based translation service like the one from Google. Here’s the result for anchovy.
