Colin Powell Visits Google

It looks like Colin Powell visited the Googleplex. Powell was US Secretary of State from 2001-2005. Flickr user, blogger and Googler Kevin Fox writes:

“One of my favorite things about Google is the kind of people who come and give talks here. Though we’ve had several leaders of the Democratic party (Howard Dean, Al Gore, Madeline Albright, Jimmy Carter) and other notables like Mikhail Gorbachev, the Republican side of the world has been relatively sparse. Strangely, I had a dream last night about Cheney coming to speak at Google. This was especially strange because in my dream he was done with his political term, and he had claws for hands, but was still very personable. Imagine my surprise when I found out this morning that Colin Powell was speaking today!”

Brett Lider, another Google employee, said “The cafe is absolutely packed.”

On a side-note, searching Google for “Colin Powell” yields Condoleezza Rice as first result (she succeeded Powell as head of the State Department on January 26 this year, taking over the Whitehouse.gov page reserved for this position as well).
