Google Code

Google Code is a new Google page targeted at developers. On it, Google will publish source code of internal projects. Naturally, these will be more on the general tools side and not reveal crucial algorithms such as ranking details. The first projects released as open source are:

Another aim of the Google Code homepage is to list available APIs, programming interfaces. Currently available are the AdWords API, the Blogger Atom API, a Deskbar Plug-in technology, and last not least the Web Search API.

Now if you too think you have an interesting Google-related project, you can email code@google.com with the details. To get updates on new projects, you can subscribe to the featured projects Atom feed.
