Gmail Web Clips

Google shows a new Gmail feature to some users called Web Clips. Above your inbox, latest headlines from RSS sources are displayed. You can then add your own feeds or choose from Gmail’s default suggestions.

Evan Williams (co-founder of Blogger and ex-Google employee): “It also swaps between feed headlines and ads, which is pretty clever, cuz it gets you looking at the ads a lot more (I’ve found).”

When will all of us be able to see this feature? Nathan Weinberg comments: “Keep in mind, as a former Google employee, Evan got his Gmail right from the source, which means he could be getting this feature quite a bit earlier than you will, or ma even be seeing a test feature because they forgot to take him off some list.”
