Yahoo Audio Search

Yahoo released an Audio Search tool (this might be used for finding podcasts as well). Yahoo’s Ethan Fasset in the official Yahoo blog says, “It’s a work in progress, but if you’ve been reading the press at all these days, audio publishing is taking on new life and we feel we need to get some tools out there to help connect those who are listening to those who are talking, and singing, and sounding off...”

I searched for “Loudon Wainwright III” and was presented with his portrait, album covers, and different audio samples that would play directly on-click in a new window. There was also a link to Yahoo’s Y! Music portal, which unfortunately doesn’t work with Firefox.

If you have your own RSS feed with audio enclosures, you can directly submit it to Yahoo.
