Improved Wildcard Algorithm

The Google Blog reports Google improved the way they find results for queries containing an asterisk wildcard – for example, when you search for “Einstein was born in *”. According to Google, “This includes allowing softer pattern matching, if necessary, and promoting results in which the blank filler is relatively more frequent in the context of the query.”
