Google TV Ads

Google is well-known for having managed to become a successful brand without tapping any of the traditional advertising channels, like big TV campaigns. Instead, they’ve almost exclusively relied on great technology causing word of mouth propaganda. But guess what... according to Online Media Daily, they’ve now started to advertise on TV: “In a major shift in promotional strategy, Google – which has long eschewed nearly every form of consumer-targeted brand advertising – quietly began running 15-second sponsorship spots on PBS’s science program “NOVA” earlier this year.” [Thanks to Robert Gale of A Welsh View.]
