Google Site Links Changes

I’ve seen this, but I’m not sure it showed for every site before: when you search Google for a site’s title, like [search engine watch], you’ll be seeing URLs next to the site links. Also, the site links are listed vertically instead of horizontally as before.

Google is quite smart in figuring out a site’s main navigation items; when you search for [google blogoscoped], you get Archive, Google’s blogs, Outer Court, and About.

The actual snippet showing in the result, as usual when you search for a site name, is taken from Dmoz.org, the Open Directory Project. (To prevent the ODP snippet from showing, you can use the NOODP meta tag.)

[Thanks Telendro, Tony Ruscoe and Nathan L.]
