Google Respects Copyright?

Google says they respect copyright by only showing snippets of other people’s content, yet they republish full copies of web pages for services like the Google Cache or the Google mobile viewer. (You can opt-out of the Google cache, and possibly you can ban Google from your server to opt-out of their mobile viewer, but there’s still copyright law... which doesn’t need you to get active to shield your content under today’s laws.) Is Google’s full republication of content in these cases legal? And is it fair?
