Google Personalized Homepage Themes

Google’s personalized homepage has a new feature: themes. Just go to google.com/ig, login if you aren’t, and hit the “Select theme” link to the right side. You can select from 7 designs overall, from “classic” to “beach” over “tea house” to “bus stop.”

The themes are quite tasteful, for those who like to skin their apps. Also, they supposedly adjust to your local time & weather conditions (I’ll have to wait to see if it understands non-US locations at this time...). Below is the same “bus stop” theme showing with two different locations. I guess this is meant to accompany looking out the window, not replace it...

I think I can spot Larry Page and Sergey Brin, but who are the others?

Update: I forgot “City Scape” in the poll and added it some minutes to late – 36 people already voted, so the poll is skewed against this particular theme now.[Thanks Photoactive!]

Update 2: This bit from AP is interesting: “The designs also will contain hidden surprises known as ’Easter eggs’ that will open up with an opportune click at the right time of the day, [Marissa] Mayer said. She wouldn’t reveal any of the surprises, but indicated they will delight high-tech geeks with a sense of humor.” Can anyone find an easter egg? [Thanks Prashanth!]

Update 3: And now there’s an overview page of all the different themes in different times! [Thanks Harper Reed!]

Update 4: Tony discovered some easter eggs.

[Thanks GSpy, Edd, Ken Wong and Search-Engines-Web!]
