Forbes’ Wiki-Style Org Charts

Forbes (warning: skip-screens & audio ads) is trying to collaboratively create corporate organization charts, like the one of Google Inc. “Everyone is encouraged to pitch in, add names or make corrections. And if your company’s not already on the list you can always add it,” a Metafilter user says.

The only trouble with this particular Wiki approach seems to be the terms of use and the copyright of the experiment: while you may give content, you’re not allowed to freely take the generated content. Quote their terms:

All contents of this Website are: Copyright © 2007 Forbes.com LLC. 90 Fifth Avenue, New York, N.Y., 10011 U.S.A., or third-party content providers and are protected by international copyright law. All rights reserved. (...)

You may use the Content online and solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and you may download or print a single copy of any portion of the Content for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not remove any trademark, copyright or other notice contained in such Content. No other use is permitted.

Yeah, in that case, good luck, I won’t help out.
