Search All Official Google Blogs

There’s a new feature available on this blog’s “Google’s Blogs” aggregator page (Google has dozens of official blogs, so that page helps tracking them): a search engine for all official Google blogs. Below you can give the search box a try.

Note that while Google also offers a “Google blogs” search from their official blog, it didn’t work for me when I tried (I didn’t receive results from all blogs). So what I did here was to make use of the recent Linked Custom Search Engines feature. That means I provide a database-driven annotation XML file to the CSE (this file accesses the same database the “Google’s Blogs” aggregator accesses, which includes all English Google blogs – at least those I know of –, though I excluded certain non-official blogs for this engine’s purpose). If you’re interested, take a look at this page’s source code as well as the linked annotation file [XML].

On a related note, if you want to dig through Google’s press history, I’ve collected all of Google’s past press releases in one simple set of files [ZIP].
