Google + Multiverse?

Daniel Terdiman of CNet writes about an alleged new program informally called “Architectural Wonders.” In it, the virtual-worlds platform provider Multiverse Network is supposed to partner with Google to allow people to integrate 3D objects from Google SketchUp into locations exported from Google Earth (by entering specific lat/long data). “If you want to build a virtual world centered on, say, downtown San Francisco, you could use the new technology to create the area itself and populate it with the digital versions of real-world buildings that have been created and uploaded to the 3D Warehouse,” Daniel writes.
