3 Riddles

  1. Melly and Frank play a game of “guess which number I’m thinking of.” Melly concentrates while Frank thinks of a number between 1 and 10,000. Frank thinks of 2,632, but doesn’t tell Melly. He notes down the number secretly for reference. When Melly makes her guess, she correctly answers 2,632.
  2. Josh drops a bag of rice on the table. The rice is now randomly spread across the surface. Now Josh shakes the table a bit without looking at it, and then makes a photo of the resulting surface. The photo of the rice pattern, it turns out, shows a distinctive image of a human eye.
  3. Becky and Norman are paired by a dating agency and start chatting. Neither of them provided any kind of profile of theirs to the dating agency, except their names, and neither of them ever had a blind date before. After 45 minutes of chatting, Becky and Norman realize they are a perfect fit, and just made for each other; a week later, they get married.

How are these three phenomena possible, and how could they be reproduced?

Update: The riddles have been solved in the comments now.
