Google My Maps Viewer

My Maps are your own custom layers on top of Google Maps (go to Google Maps and click the My Maps tab to experiment with this). Now to further promote the feature Google released a My Maps viewer. It displays random recently added My Maps in a sort of interactive slide show.

According to Google Maps product manager Jess Lee, pictured below, more than 9 million My Maps have been created since the service launched in April 2007, collecting placemarks for restaurants, hotels, Manhattan cup-cake bakeries and so on.
