The Google homepage saw a little change: instead of “©2008 Google” the footer now reads “©2008 - Privacy”, with the word “privacy” being linked to Google’s privacy policy help center (which contains videos, legal texts, explanations and so on). Perhaps there may have been legal considerations to do so, too. Google’s Marissa Mayer at the official Google blog says, “Larry and Sergey told me we could only add this to the homepage if we took a word away – keeping the ’weight’ of the homepage unchanged at 28.”
There’s also a more fictional look at Google’s privacy policies.
