Add Your Location to Your Gmail Signature (Automatically)
Gmail has a new feature in the Gmail Labs which adds your location to your email signature. It will show something like this:
Here’s how to enable this:
- Log-in to Gmail and switch to the Labs
- Scroll down to the “Location in Signature” bit, check the Enable box and hit the save button (Gmail will now reload)
- Go visit your Settings, and in your signature options, check “Append your location to the signature” and save again
- Now, compose a mail or two (it only worked the second time here). If you don’t have the Google Gears plug-in installed yet,
you’ll be asked to do so for this to work. It also works without Gears, but less precise, the Gmail blog says
