That's pretty funny! They used carpet tiles to make the marker. |
That reminds me of this video of someone in Germany making a life-size marker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvHeNC5VJw8
There's a picture of it on this forum: http://www.toytowngermany.com/lofi/index.php/t54681.html |
Don't forget to give Google credit for their responsiveness ... ;-) |
If you click the link below the picture, it takes you to the google maps location, but the satellite photo didn't get the marker.
The interesting thing is the time the satellite photos were taken: the sun is going down, and the building and tree shadows produce an interesting effect. It seems that Google takes their pictures when the sun is perpendicular to the surface to avoid shadows, but as we can see, sometimes this is not true. |
LOL, this is funny but IMO highlights an important issue. Why are Google so poor in providing personalised feedback. Personally I don't see what there is stopping them employing more people to service their users. |
I regularly submit suggestions for Google different applications. Way back they seemed more responsive, I got several personalized responses.
But the last few months, I haven't received any for my suggestions.
I guess that, as they grow, they are prioritizing, and not answering 'minor' compains. There's also a trend of redirecting support to Google Groups. |
