With the JSON API Google Spreadsheets is offering, you can get (kinda) up-to-date stock quote information. |
A group of us from here were playing around with this in a shared spreadsheet about 6 months ago. I'm sure that was instigated by a post or forum thread posted here but a Google search brings up nothing... |
I read something about these features on Webware's site.
The post was from Wednesday, 06/20/2007: http://www.webware.com/8301-1_109-9732473-2.html?tag=blog |
Yeah, I know it's not news... but it's a cool feature of Google D&S the Google developers (linked from the via) say many people don't know about, and I agree... |
Unfortunatly you can't export them into Excel files. When they created the feature I whipped up a quick spreadsheet which got all the information for a specific ticker.

I was the tech lead at Google for the Q&A onebox (and all the related data) when we first launched it. I've posted about the GoogleLookup functionality here: http://jonathanbetz.blogspot.com/2007/06/somebody-noticed-googlelookup.html |
<<I didn’t know you can hook up Google’s Q&A feature to a Google Spreadsheet>> You should really read what thread your posting in :-D http://blogoscoped.com/forum/77696.html#id77746
