June 26th is "Day of Silence" for Internet radio. Royalty rates for webcasters will go up on July 15th based on a recent ruling. To protest the expensive rate increases, many sites will go silent for the entire day.

Yahoo!, MTV, and Pandora as well as many other webcasters will be silent all day today. Some sites are still playing music though, like Last.fm.
