I don't know if you have been following mylivesearch.com at all or not. Or maybe you have gotten the chance to test it out as well, I don't know. But I just got my invitation to try it out. In my opinion, I'm not sure why I would use it. For example, entering google returns books.google.com as the top result. Hello? Its als very slow at returning results, requires a plugin, and locked up my browser one time after doing a search. But the most annoying thing to me is the results keep changing right before my eyes. For example, typing in Google Blogoscoped would immediately return a set of results, but as it searches it would keep shuffing the results around. What!! Talk about confusing! Anyway, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see a google killer.

I hate it, plugin need. Linux not supported now
Anything in this interface that Javascript can't do |
Having to install a plugin is just.... wrong. |
I actually like the interface, but there are some glaring bugs that annoyed me while using it.
a) Firefox is a memory hog, add a web spider and it began usng 90% of my dual core CPUs and about 250MB of RAM, b) No refreshing, for some reason, c) If you refresh you have to restart Firefox (or re-login) which is an annoying punishment to give to users. |
