I've been getting this error quite a while now.

Its really odd and I don't get it in IE or Opera. It doesn't affect localised Google homepages (or iGoogle).

Any suggestions, I've cleared my cache.

What happens from IE or other browser? Have you tried disabling Firefox plug-ins?

Yup, IE and Opera work.

Disabling Firefox addons doesn't seem to do anything.

Yes, me too get this error in a new window. This occurs when firefox is running on the memory and you try to open another firefox to read the latest headlines or while restoring the session .

So is it Google's fault or Firefox?

(Or both? :P)

I'm sure it's fault of GreaseMonkey....

I have never seen this error, but seems like a tag issue @ Google

Suresh / Martin
Can you write the steps to reproduce this?

I used to get this. I stopped all greasemonkeys running on google.com and it stopped

I don't have Greasemonkey installed.

It actually seems to come and go for me. I opened up Fx and it wouldn't load Google.com, I closed and re-opened Fx and it worked. No changes to Fx though. Sometimes this doesn't work.

It only seems to have on Google.com though, I'm sure if Google stuck a DOCTYPE in their page it would be fine...
