I have been wondering for quite a long time now whether blogoscoped.com is or is not based on some open source project... because the way the forum interacts with the blog is just great.

If it is not, do you know any project giving this kind of functionality. Or has it already gotten normal over the years (1 or 2 actually) I haven't checked blogger systems out anymore.

The code here is homemade (the legacy of having used Blogger's FTP export, which didn't allow comments, originally spawned the forum), but I've seen other blogs over time also integrate blog + forum... like recently, TechCrunch, and Search Engine Land. Seems to become a trend :)

I think the common way to integrate is whenever a blog is posted, a new thread in a forum is created (e.g. AppleInsider). But I think Blogoscoped does it better...

btw, when is blogoscoped going to get some pagerank? Seems to me its been about long enough.

Probably that's because the change of domain-name?
