Shall I call this as usability test of search results?
I think this has been grate way of training the search engines and the developers of the search engines. |
I don't get this! How do they know WHERE you click? Links on Google search results ate clean, there's no tracking scripts what-so-ever! (G toolbar?!) |
<<Links on Google search results ate clean, there's no tracking scripts what-so-ever!>>
Not when you're logged in. They look like this:
http: //www.google.com/url?sa=t& ct=res&cd=1& url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.businessgearchange.com%2Fservices%2 Foc_types.html&ei=7bhqR8fiGaj4nQPa2JQ8& usg=AFQjCNGTliJHUk6VE6l0ufP3TgqKLD9c2w& sig2=Z6t-Saity2rGyAxU3yplwA
And when you're not logged in, Google tracks your clicks using JavaScript:
a href="http: //www.businessgearchange.com/ services/oc_types.html" class="l" onmousedown="return clk(this.href,'','','res','1','')" |
Thanks.... but I don't know where you see this. Search "onmousedown" not found...

Got it... I was using Opera. G only uses that on Firefox and IE.
I love Opera, more and more each day. :) |
<<G only uses that on Firefox and IE. >>
That's obviously not true. |
Not true?!?! I don't get that on Opera, I get it on Firefox and IE. I don't if it's some settings or what, but I don't get on Opera. |
