I did a search for some video clips I uploaded and noticed that no results were being returned. Similarly, when you click on the Simliarly Random Videos link on the main page, no results are returned. I guess it's a glitch in the database? Kind of makes you wonder if it's related the Google Base rollout. |
I can verify that, my video is gone too. but random video is working for me. |

PETER: "Hey Jay, what do I need to do to connect Google Video to Google Base?"
JAY [shouting across the room]: "Just include the googlebase library and set the baseflag to 1."
PETER: "OK, let's see... yeah, it seems to work."
JAY: "Hmm. Hey Peter, did you try searching for something? I can't find anything on Google Video right now..."
PETER: "What?! Oh dammit..."
[typing sounds]
JAY: "Are you OK?"
PETER: "If Sergey finds out, I'm toast..."
[more typing sounds]
PETER "Ah, that should do it... phew, close one."
JAY: "Never experiment live... you know Sergey doesn't like that..."
PETER: "Come on, you experimented live all day today with Google Base!"
JAY: "Yeah, but that was a 20% project. Yours was an 80% project, right? The Video Search Engine [mumbles: ... which doesn't crawl the web...]"

FRANK: "Hey guys!"
PETER & JAY: "Hey..."
FRANK: "Did you see the slideshow the Google Office team sent around today? Those are some cool Google Words screenshots. Ajax sure beats Windows."

The first time I went to google video today, my browser asked me to view a certificate because there was something questionable about it. After accepting it, I was redirected to google web search, and am continually unable to get to google video, even with all different browsers. |
