Because you can always change the theme if you don't like it :) That preview URL would probably confuse people because it changes the themes for all tabs, but only temporarily. |
Well, I try a theme. I didn't like it, so I wanted to switch back to my previous theme. I had to browse 49 themes to find the good one. Imagine if there was 400 themes available... :-/ |
I agree with Tom – todays paradigm is "less is more" have a few to pick from and then let the user customize the template.. |
Then the preview page should also have a button to actually add the theme. Maybe Google could create a gadget that lets you browse the themes and preview them, like in the previous iteration of the themes feature. |
