Everybody and his uncle knows that this "telephone" gadget was in reality invented by the great Russian scientist Vsiewalod Chazdatowicz Telefonow. A. G. Bell was the guy at the other end of the wire, with whom Telefonov naïvely shared the discovery. Subsequently Bell's *ONLY* contribution to that ancient analog, now all but superseded, technology was a superior sense of self-PR, and a total absence of anything resembling morals! (read: patenting fruits of others' blood, sweat and tears [invention, after all, being 90% perspiration!]) |
oh, god.. telephone was "registered" by Bell , but invented by Meucci... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Meucci |
Luca: I got angry when I saw the doodle, because it shows that google thinks patents are more important as the real invention... |
(OT) So hebbet is the new doodle informer eh? :) |
well, 13 of April I would like to see a doodle for Meucci (the guy that invented the telephone ... made no money and died almost starving just because couldn't pay 10 dollars for patenting his invention) ... somebody think it is possible?? I think he deserve it ... |
WTF is Google thinking here?
The cool Google we used to know is gone.. party's over, people :( |
David Hetfield: No problem. |
That's really bad. This is misinformation. Phone was invented by Meucci. |
> This is misinformation.
Except Google never claimed that Bell invented the phone. It might be unfair, but it's not really misinformation... |
