Is is just me or there are way too many doodles lately?

I guess to the average user it doesn't seem like there are too many because they're geographically targeted. But there has definitely been an increase in them recently. (They no longer seem to be displayed in the Google Doodles calendar either.)

[put at-character here]Ionut : you are right, but it was the same last year, with other events (day of French language, water day, etc...)

This doodle is shown only on google.hu AFAIK. It celebrates the 127th birthday of Béla Bartók. Interestingly enough the logo points to the search query "Béla Bartók": because Hungarians write the names in reverse order, the first result for this query is the related English Wikipedia entry. It's kind f sad to see that they are trying to be kind of locale-aware but at the end they fail to do it right.

I would have liked to see a Béla Bartók doodle in France too. Geniuses do no know borders.
