It is well known that Chinese Communism Party has a department called Chinese Communism Party Central Propaganda Department. This department decides what to say and what not to say, all media organizations are controlled by such department. As usual, for this earth quake, the department sent commands to media organizations around the mainland China asking them to use only news from the Central TV station and the XinHua News agent.

But this time, almost all media organizations simply ignored the commands from the Central Propaganda Department, and sent journalists out to the earthquake zones.

Al Jazeera writes:

<<People across China have held three minutes of silence marking the exact moment one week ago when a deadly earthquake struck the southwestern province of Sichuan.

At 06:28 GMT on Monday the sound of car, train and ship horns, as well as air raid sirens, marked the beginning of the silence across the country.

With the toll from the quake standing at more than 32,000, China's leaders have declared three days of national mourning for the dead.>>

They also write:

<<As the mourning period began on Monday, state media reported that more than 200 recovery workers had been buried by landslides over the past two days in the disaster zone.>>
