Wow, I was just creating my first FriendFeed account. Exciting!

This "rooms" feature looks cool, but I have a question for all of you who use FriendFeed: Time-saver or time-waster? That isn't a rhetorical question as I have not used it at all, and in fact am a bit afraid to because I know I spend too much time with Netvibes already.

Satan, it could be a time saver if you currently use a feed reader and feel like you need to check every unread item – because at Friendfeed, there's no "unread items" (well, there's some rare invitations to rooms, now, and other stuff)... you can just ignore the site for a while and get back to it later on. But if you just don't want another news input and discussions channel at all, then I would suggest you don't open it (or try it carefully and close it as soon as you feel it's not worth it)...

Pray how is this different from a forum? Oh yes, it was coded by a Google ex-employee? Duh!

My experience with Friendfeed the same as Google Reader

I started not liking it, thinking there was no point.
Then I added a few subscriptions, thinking it was quite good
Now I've ended up with loads of things to read and not enough time :-P
