I posted this thought earlier and it mysteriously disappeared.
Google Pack hasn't been updated in ages. Will this ever get a facelift or is it destined to fade into obscurity? |
I do, sometimes, see software updates running through Google Packs. But in terms of update for Google Pack itself .. not sure ... |
If i'm not mistaken, the last software update was adding Skype.
They've added it around Nov. 2006
:/ |
Did they ever remove Real Player? |
<< Google Pack hasn't been updated in ages. >>
What updates would you like to see for a small update software? The last application added to Google Pack was StarOffice (Aug. 07). |
Oh, right.. I forgot about StarOffice. :P |
I wish they would create a Google Pack for Mac's and maybe even linux. Google does have a pretty cool Google Updater app that updates the Mac software they own and support. |
There is a Google Pack for Mac since all Google software install through that annoying updater. Actually Google Pack = Google Updater + some software that can be updated/uninstalled using Google Updater. |
I actually wish Google would release GreenBorder software through Google Pack. That would help so many window's users. |
GooglePack doesn't make much sense for Linux. We already have a nice way to install and update all the software which is installed on the system, (pretty much like the new Iphone App Store, btw) |
Yeah, I wouldn't use a Google Pack for Linux.
How about more native support, though? Sketchup, I say?
Google Pack is nice for quick installations on fresh XP installs. Set it and forget it, I say. Where's my oven? |
Google Pack is just like Windows Update or Apple Software Update .. why would you want update for them?! |
