According to Heather Havenstein of Computer World, Chris Bowers from Open Left has been Googlebombing the search terms "McCain" and "John McCain" with links to negative stories about US presidential candidate John McCain.

Because those web pages include "McCain", you can't call this practice Google bombing. Those pages rank for a relevant term, not for "idiot" or "failure". |
The OpenLeft site and Computer World story both referred to this as "googlebombing" or "google bombing".
Even if it is not googlebombing, it idoes seem to be black hat SEO. |
I find it interesting that there are over 400,000 results for McBush already: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=mcbush |
