Cool new wavy look when Google maps is finding "My Location" on iPhone 2.0

So I upgraded my 1st generation iPhone to the new 2.0 firmware today. I have to say the best app so far for me is the Remote App that allows you to control your AppleTV content directly from your phone. I'll test the Google App next. :)

WOW, what app is that?

It's just called Remote app and its built by Apple.

Isn't it kind of^H^H^H^H^H^H^H ironic, that the best/ most uniformly praised iPhony app so far is an iTunes/ Front Row/ Apple TV remote for their own cash-cow iTunes, making the handset the most expensive remote controller there is?

If someone intentionally went out and bought an iPhone/ iPod Touch just for the sole purpose of using it as a cool remote for the AppleTv, then I would say that's kind of ironic. I'm not a fan of the little white remote Apple uses for their computers and the AppleTV. I like simple remotes but those things are just too simple.

Colin, contrary to what might seem illogical (Aristotlean logick), lots of people bought media-center duty Mac Mini/EyeTV expensive-for-the-purpose-combos with Front Row controlled by hacky VPN-over-WiFi remotes[*] on equally expensive iPhones. For which now exists an official Remote App from the mothership.

Except for this, er, key hick-up?

"[...] The only glaring omission in Apples otherwise amazing little Controller App is the apparent lack of support for Apples Front Row."

Silly of me to assume Apple would DO THE RIGHT THING.
