I just searched for [dragon's lair] on google.com and when clicking on the top Wikipedia link, was forwarded to a google.com-hosted redirect notice...
"Redirect Notice The previous page is sending you to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon%27s_Lair.
If you do not want to visit that page, you can return to the previous page."
Huh? The second link worked alright without a redirect... |
What was the URL of the redirect notice? |
Google isn't recognizing that the single-quote and %27 in the URLs are the same thing. |
Hey Philipp, thanks for the heads up. We reproduced the behavior in certain browsers when signed-in. It's being investigated. :)
Take care and thanks again, Maile |
<<Google isn't recognizing that the single-quote and %27 in the URLs are the same thing.>>
Yeah i suspected that and tried it with this search: http://www.google.com/search?q=Pachelbel's
The result for Pachelbel's Canon on Wikipedia has an ' in the URL which is also a %27 but the entry Johann Pachelbel (and all other URL's without an apostrophe in the URL work fine. |
I'm still seeing it all over the place. Do we know when Google is going to fix it? |
I just encounter the same problem, clicking on a wikipedia link ends to the non-safe redirection notice. |
