I believe the following two have been added to Google.com's robot.txt file:

Disallow: /ppob/?
Disallow: /ppob?
http://www.google.com/robots.txt

Can't get any result for e.g. http://www.google.com/ppob/ though it might also be another subdomain. One dictionary I found explains ppob means "principal place of business n. location of head office of a business where the books and records are kept and/or management works. In most states corporations must report their principal place of business to the Secretary of State."

Uh-oh craigslist.

Why is this and Q&A only for Russia? :(

Above 3 comments were made in the forum before this was blogged,

[put at-character here]DPic: the Russian service doesn't look like a craigslist. It seems to be a search engine over other sites (notice the "site" dropdown in the right-hand column).

I speak Russian. And I don't realy understood your question about what you want to be more clearly explained?
It seems than Russian Dep. of G is made it own project: Clas. ad. graber throught many other Russian Ad. Sites. And gives nice Interface, search abilities and other stuff. What is Unclear here?

Aleksandr, yeah, that was the kind of info I was looking for, thanks. (As I don't understand Russian I don't really know which questions to ask specifically in regards to the site, was just looking for further details, e.g. what can you do with it exactly, does it work well, does it have some interesting FAQ entries, and so on. Was just looking for an additional point of view from someone who reads Russian...)

Philipp, Sadly I don't leave in Russia and didn't try this service in Action (because those ads only from russian cities)
As I can see now its just like Google News. It just grabs some of ad. sites (5 as I see), gives list of items (just providing the title) and link to original site page (where it were grabbed). Shows little bit more when you mouse over the title. You have kind of sorting and filtering features. And As I see – thats all. Its pretty poor for google = It's somebodies 20% beta project and maybe it will get some evolution. but at this moment its pretty poor.
