Try searching in google for just "date:1012-2020" and you'll see a funny error saying...

"date:1012-2020 was dropped from your search because it is not supported for this type of search."

Also it returns 250 mil results for me. The order seems to jumble about too but not drastically...you still see most of the same books.

hmm...this is strange...I did lots of refreshes...and now its stopped working again...any ideas?

Sometimes GBS returns 0 results to a valid query. I've noticed that google.com/books (as opposed to books.google.com) does this quite frequently.

Trivia: Most Google services can be accessed by going to the ip of a given data center [1] and appending the name of the service to the end, but it doesn't work for GBS – it just takes you to the About page instead. Anyone notice that Google Catalogs has been taken down for service?
