Hello all,
As an Ubuntu user, gmail voice and video chat isn't available to me. I probably wouldn't use it anyways, as i prefer Empathy, but i still think Google should have offered it for Linux as well.
Anyways, Empathy (http://live.gnome.org/Empathy) also supports audio and video calling as well, so i was wondering if any Blogoscoped members would be willing to help me test GMail-Empathy and/or Empathy-Empathy voice/video calling.
Thanks! |
I'd be willing to. Which version of Empathy should I use ? Is there any deb for it ? |
i am currently testing Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 and you can download the packages here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/empathy
if you like you can use the Intrepid PPA: https:launchpad.net/~telepathy/+archive/ppa |
You should be able to easily find my contact info by Googling me |
Have you received my invite ? |
Sure, no problem, i'm currently running 8.10. |
Thanks Josue! My last test didn't do so well (couldn't even get normal chat working with PierreS, even though it works with everyone else) but add me so we can try again =] |
