Sergey, for example, has been looking at new ways of doing search quality, a new math around that.

This is a quote by Eric Schmidt possibly in NOV or OCT – so this will not be an update – this will be a ReAlgorithmization

The only possibility would be incompassing some vast new Link Popularity Standards – and incorporating new Click Popularity intelligence...

Since incorporating Advanced Concept Search and LSI would be too complex for just SERGEY alone.

But sadly, for all this tweaking, many perceive Google overall relevance to have declined in the past two years...

There is only so-far one can go with this current technology.!

It's interesting how google has already agreed to put AOL graphical ads on their own pages.

Seun, I would file that under "rumor."

In fact, I would file it under "denied rumor" having seen http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2005/12/about-aol-announcement.html

Great speculations... can't wait to see what happens with each company.

#13 seems unlikely to me. I mean, would Google give such priority to bloggers to be able to put their blog data into a "onebox" search this soon? This i can see happening in 2008 or 2009 but not in 2006. Although, if Google does take this approach, then we can surely predict a global & major increase in online blogging – also a creative and strategic route by Google to give greater focus to Blogger.com

Knowing Yahoo! and their obtrusive advertising I doubt many will switch.
