I just had access to my new Google Voice account and we tested it with TOMHTML. I tried to send a SMS to French Cell number from Google Voice, and TOMHTML received it...

And I still have my 1 $ credit intact (gift from Google).

Strange also, none of SMS sent to my Google number was received in my inbox... Maybe my account is still in migration...

For now, sending SMS is free and takes 2 second in Canada, France, USA.

Are you sending an SMS from Google Voice web-based control panel to a Google Voice phone number, or directly to a mobile phone in France?

If it's directly to a French cell number, then maybe it's a bug – or maybe Google Voice allows it... But according to the quote above from the Voice Help page, it appears that you can only use Google Voice to send SMS messages to U.S. phone numbers...

I tested sending SMS to my friend in Malaysia, he received it fine in 2 seconds. This is great! I am in New York

It would be great if we can also add international phone number for forwarding calls... maybe just a wish
