<<At our Mountain View headquarters, we have some fields that we need to mow occasionally to clear weeds and brush to reduce fire hazard. This spring we decided to take a low-carbon approach: Instead of using noisy mowers that run on gasoline and pollute the air, we've rented some goats from California Grazing to do the job for us (we're not "kidding").>>

I've just read this and it sounds crazy! |
Apparently, the goats reached Yahoo's!

I've always wanted to mow my lawn at least once by: 1. cutting it wish scissors 2. grazing like a cow for an entire day |
ROFLMAO i just fall from my chair . WOW Such a INVENTIVE IDEA.
A herder brings about 200 goats and they spend roughly a week with us at Google, eating the grass and fertilizing at the same time.
"fertilizing at the same time" Google should get this year's Ig Nobel Prize :)) |
Only goes to show "The simplest answer is usually the correct answer." |
To transport the goats to and from the Googleplex would require gas. More gas was probably used just for the transportation than by lawn mowing alone.
This seems like it is just a PR stunt. |
That's because it is a PR stunt. |
