Gmail now offers 50 SMS. If you send a sms, quota goes 1 down, if you receive SMS, quota goes 5 up. Quota resets to 1 everyday if equal to 0.

When selecting the 'send sms' option it still shows the 'US phones only for now' message, maybe this udate is still being rolled out?

When this finally works, I'm guessing it will be a US number that's used.... that means international text prices :(

Why pay ~3.5X the amount you would if you text my phone?

How new is Google "Account recovery via SMS: Request a recovery code"? I haven't seen it before. http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=148360

But i don't have the option to "Change password recovery options" even if my carrier is supported.
