YouTube has increased the upload size for a video to 2 GB. This can only be seen on the US version. When switch in my case to Dutch it still says 1 GB. |
I didn't even know about the size limit. I thought there was just a length limit (around 10 mins which lets them avoid royalties for the video format they use...instead of Ogg) |
DPic There was always a limit on size. I think it used to be 100MB but unlimited length, which meant there where some highly compresed videos on there.
Example: Longest video on YouTube (4hours) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ct8nZ6eTTiY

Wow. On top of fixing channels so that it isn't one channel per user, (http://blogoscoped.com/forum/156645.html#id156678) i wish they'd slowly lift the size and time constraints (and let us do live streaming [and use Ogg Theora/Vorbis for HTML 5 http://blogoscoped.com/forum/155999.html!]!). YouTube is just so un-googley it hurts.
^ and thus was the most hideously formatted comment ever to be posted on Blogoscoped |
