I was "nominated" on October 1st, and I just got my official invite from Google about 2 hours ago! Did anyone else get their invite today??

Only the users which were invited by Google will get invites.
the nominated people won't get any invite for now.

Just thought that I would note that all the invites I send (on oct 1 as well) have all arrived yesterday (or the day before yesterday), so I guess everything should soon be send. Nice to note is that people you have invited are neatly added to your contact list.

Got my invite this week that was send by Philipp. I have the idea that Google Wave could be very handy when working on projects, I don't yet see it as the future replacement of e-mail as some news websites suggest.

The same way instant messaging didn't replace email, Google Wave won't replace IM or email. Each service will have its own use cases and Google Wave will remain for awhile a niche technology.

i think wave is almost a testing ground for web 3.0 with html 5 and such would love to try it, have fun on the wave, hopefully i will get to try it, doesn't have to be now but can anyone spare a nomination?

i know that even if you get nominated it will be some time since they are testing it out and have to work on it to scale to a lot of users
